Research subject

Electronic Government is, according to the EU definition, ”about using the tools and systems made possible by Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) to provide better public services to citizens and businesses.” Research in this area includes development, implementation and impact analysis of particular services as well as information architectures. Analysis can be about technology, organisation, user or societal aspects.

We have carried out a large number of research projects in this area over the last 10 years. For example, National patient summary investigating challenges when patient information is shared between different care providers; location of a national data centre in Rwanda; analysis of Swedish municipalities’ websites; development of analysis and evaluation models for Electronic Government.
