The restaurant industry is changing and the working conditions for the practitioners need to be part of that transformation. A positive development of daily work and meeting with guests as well as increased career opportunities are required to get staff to apply to the restaurant industry and to remain. The research group's focus is, in the light of the requirements, on issues related to social sustainability in the industry with links to financial sustainability.
The group's ongoing research deals with, among other things, young leadership, sexual harassment in the service meeting and sustainable accounting.
The research team collaborates in joint projects and networks with national and international researchers in the hospitality field for future research projects.
