The newly appointed Associate Professor at the School of Medical Sciences, Marcelo Petri, is giving his inaugural lecture titled ¨Vascular Wall Remodeling: Too Thick or Too Thin — What is going on?
He will present his scientific journey from Mexico to Sweden, driven by a strong interest in understanding vascular wall biology. Marcelos work focuses primarily on how the immune system influences different vascular diseases. He will discuss his previous research as well as ongoing and future projects that aim to deepen our understanding of the vessel wall in both human and animal models, emphasizing a translational perspective in this exciting field.
