Niklas Steger

Om Niklas Steger

Niklas Steger is a resident physician in infectious diseases at the Department of Infectious Diseases at Örebro University Hospital, and a doctoral student at the School of Medical Sciences at Örebro University. He is a member of the research group Acute Respiratory Infections, and also collaborates with research groups from several other institutions across Sweden.

His doctoral project focuses on severe complications of influenza, such as bacterial co-infections and cardiovascular events, with an emphasis on inflammatory mechanisms and prognostic markers associated with these conditions.
