Om Rajesh Vinayak Patil
Rajesh Patil började vid Örebro universitet som docent i maskinteknik vid skolan för naturvetenskap och teknik. Han har omfattande erfarenhet av både akademisk och industrirelaterad forskning, med kärnkompetens inom artificiell intelligens, robotik och automation, avancerad tillverkning, bildbehandling och fordonsäkerhet.
Rajesh avlade doktorsexamen i maskinteknik med inriktning på autonoma tekniker för detektion och klassificering av svetsbrister i flera klasser. Han har också en masterexamen i mekatronik och en kandidatexamen i maskinteknik.
Innan han började på Örebro universitet ledde Rajesh bransch-samarbetande forskningsprojekt, skrev granskade publikationer och internationella bokkapitel, och har innehaft patent. Han har spelat en avgörande roll i att samordna branschpraktikplatser och karriärutvecklingsprogram, vilket har underlättat placeringen av hundratals studenter och skapat partnerskap med ledande multinationella företag.
Förutom sina forsknings- och undervisningsansvar bidrar han aktivt till forskningsmentorskap, internationella akademiska samarbeten och fungerar som granskare för ansedda internationella tidskrifter.
Rajesh långsiktiga vision är att bidra till utvecklingen av intelligenta, uppkopplade och hållbara tillverkningsekosystem, i enlighet med Industri 5.0 och målen för digital transformation.
