Om Rudolf Aro

Jag är postdoktor i analytisk kemi vid Örebro universitet och specialiserar mig på fluorbalansanalys samt avancerade metoder för att detektera och karakterisera PFAS och andra organofluorföreningar i miljöprover. Min forskning fokuserar på utveckling och tillämpning av LC–MS/MS-arbetsflöden, förbränningsjonkromatografi och kompletterande analytiska strategier för att förstå organofluorföreningars beteende i komplexa matriser.

Jag disputerade i kemi vid Örebro universitet 2021, där mitt doktorandarbete bidrog till att förbättra det analytiska verktygsskrinet för fluorinerade föroreningar och att utveckla kvantitativa metoder för nya miljöföroreningar. Jag har dubbla masterexamina i analytisk kemi från Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 och University of Tartu, där jag även tog min kandidatexamen i kemi.

Utöver min akademiska forskning har jag flera års erfarenhet från privat sektor inom analytisk utveckling, vilket har stärkt min metodologiska noggrannhet, projektledningsförmåga och förståelse för kvalitetsstyrda laboratoriemiljöer. Denna bakgrund stödjer mitt nuvarande arbete med att utveckla robusta analytiska metoder och handleda studenter.

Förutom forskningen hjälper jag till att driva det analytiska laboratoriet och undervisar i både teoretiska och praktiska moment inom analytisk kemi. Jag handleder kandidat- och masterstudenter och bidrar till att bygga en samarbetande forskningsmiljö med fokus på högkvalitativ analytisk vetenskap.
