Logotype PARCChemicals are a fundamental part of modern society, but achieving the goal of a non-toxic environment requires new knowledge about both existing substances in our surroundings and those being developed by the chemical industry. This research project focuses on developing the next-generation risk assessment of chemicals to protect human health and the environment. Through collaboration between authorities, organizations, institutes, and researchers, PARC is creating a platform at both national and European levels to advance chemical risk assessments. The program supports the EU’s chemicals strategy and the goal of zero pollution by developing new methods and tools.

Örebro University is participating in several work packages, including the development of early warning systems and environmental monitoring for hazardous chemicals. This project will contribute to improved decision-making support for authorities and policymakers, enabling more effective efforts in chemical risk assessment and environmental monitoring.
