Retenua NextGen Perception and Robotics Talent Program 2026/27

The Program

Retenua NextGen is a selective talent program for up to three
ambitious Master's students who want to gain hands-on experience
with advanced robotics and perception before graduating.

The program starts with paid part-time technical work alongside your studies during the autumn and continues into a full-time Master's thesis at Retenua during the spring. You will work with technology that goes beyond simulations and textbook examples – developing and testing perception systems for real platforms and challenging applications.

You will work on real engineering and research challenges in perception, machine learning and mobile robotics, alongside experienced engineers and researchers. Retenua combines close ties to academic research with a strong focus on developing and deploying technology for real industrial applications.

Retenua’s NextGen program offers ambitious and passionate students an excellent opportunity to work at the intersection of academic research and real-world tech development.

Who Are We Looking For?

To qualify for the program, you should meet the following criteria:

• You are enrolled in a Master’s or equivalent engineering program at a Swedish university.
• You are in the final year of your studies in Robotics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• You have strong academic results and solid technical fundamentals.
• You have a genuine interest in robotics, sensors, and perception.
• You have explored technical projects beyond mandatory coursework.
• You are skilled with, or motivated to develop skills in, C++ and Python.
