Welcome to a research presentation by Professor Jill Lobbestael!
Professor Jill Lobbestael is a Professor of Clinical Psychology at Maastricht University and an internationally recognized researcher in the fields of personality disorders, aggression, and clinical assessment. Her work focuses on borderline and antisocial personality disorders, psychopathy, narcissism, schema modes, childhood maltreatment, and the cognitive and emotional mechanisms underlying aggressive behavior.
After completing her PhD at Maastricht University in 2008, she held research positions at prestigious institutions including Harvard University and Florida State University. Throughout her career, she has combined academic research with clinical practice, contributing significantly to the understanding and treatment of severe personality pathology and aggression.
Professor Lobbestael is particularly known for her research on schema theory, behavioral and psychophysiological assessment methods, and innovative approaches such as virtual reality in the study of aggression.
