NEOLAiA is organising a Research Networking Event, designed as an active research matchmaking workshop rather than a conventional conference. The proposed structure follows a “Meet → Match → Develop → Commit” approach, with the aim of converting research interests into concrete cross-NEOLAiA collaborations, project ideas, grant teams, publications, mobility opportunities and access to shared research capacities.
The programme aims to maximise structured interaction, interdisciplinary matching and protected time for participants to develop ideas. The two-day event will therefore progress deliberately from introductions and discovery on day 1 to project development, commitments and follow-up planning on day 2.
Format
In person with potential hybrid participation The event is primarily designed as an in-person, highly interactive research matchmaking workshop. Depending on the level of interest and available capacity, a hybrid participation option may be considered, particularly if the maximum number of in-person registrations is exceeded (e.g., first 35 registrations).
Registration and deadline
Interested participants are requested to complete the registration form by Friday, 30 October 2026.
Participation costs
Participants are expected to cover the full cost of participating in the event (i.e. travel, accommodation, daily allowance and an 80 Euro registration fee) and are encouraged to use their institutions seed funding for this purpose. Information on registration fee payment will be provided following the completion of the registration form.
