Bio
Rasoul Mojtahedzadeh is a Ph.D in Computer Science, Robotics with four years of experience of working with applied AI in autonomous driving industry. His doctoral research contributed to development of probabilistic decision-making algorithms based on 3D perception using machine learning paradaigms. He defended his Ph.D in 2016, and since then he has worked in industry. Rasoul specializes in practical applications of deep learning in computer vision to tackle the real world perception problems for autonomous driving concept. In 2017, Rasoul joined Veoneer Sweden AB, a tier-one leadning company supplying high-end vision, Lidar and radar based products for autonomous driving. Rasoul works on innovative vision algorithms for Advanced Driving Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Automated Driving (AD) recognized as active safety concept in the automotive industry. His main work focus is on developing algorithms based on deep learning (e.g., convolutional neural networks) for detecting objects of interest (pedestrians, vehicles, bikes, debris, etc.) and semantic segmentation of roads and city scenarios from mono and stereo images which are extensively used in sensing Traffic Environment and Traffic Participants.
