Forskning om matematiklärarutbildning och kompetensutveckling
Denna forskargrupp fokuserar på blivande lärare i årskurs 1–12 och deras matematiska och matematikdidaktiska kunskaper och färdigheter, samt teori- och forskningsdrivna metoder för matematiklärarutbildning. Gruppen undersöker metoder som problemformulering, matematisk modellering för blivande lärare och andra pedagogiska metoder som stöder utvecklingen av högkvalitativ matematikundervisning.
Dessutom studerar forskare det kollegiala lärandet hos lärare i kompetensutvecklingssammanhang, lärares användning av artefakter i matematikundervisningen och den skriftliga kommunikationens roll i undervisning och lärande i matematik. Gruppen undersöker också hur matematiklärares grundläggande arbetssätt kan stödjas och utvecklas i lärarutbildningen.
Medlemmarna i gruppen är aktiva lärarutbildare som grundar sina undervisningsmetoder på sin egen och sina kollegors empiriska forskning.
