The pervasive use of social media in both personal and work lives is becoming more and more popular. Social media is changing the way of communication in peoples’ daily lives. However, it is uncertain whether the use of social media will bring positive impacts or negative impacts for work. The excessive use of social media can raise questions about whether employees’ work performance is affected at work and employees’ work life balance is affected. The objective of this research is to investigate how the use of social media for work affects employees’ work performance and work-life conflict.
