Several different public sector reforms have been analyzed the last decade. The interaction between national interventions of different forms (legislation, standardization of professional practice, management etc.) and local forms of regulating professional practice have been highlighted in several studies, yielding both theoretical and empirical contributions. Presently, a large study focusing on the regulation of professional practice in Swedish education is about to start.
