Observera att denna ansökan endast gäller för dig som har extern/annan form av finansiering.

Du kan söka till utbildningen med extern/annan form av finansiering, till exempel från din befintliga arbetsgivare. Universitetet gör då en bedömning huruvida finansieringen kan säkras under hela utbildningstiden, samt huruvida du som sökande kan ägna så stor del av din tid åt utbildningen att den kan slutföras på lägst halvfart.

Ansökningsdatum och antagningsseminarier

Antagning av doktorander med extern/annan form av finansiering sker vanligtvis två gånger per termin.

Sista dagen att ansöka inför antagningsseminarium under 2027:

  • 7 december inför antagningsseminarium 8 och/eller 9 februari
  • 8 mars inför antagningsseminarium 10 och/eller 11 maj
  • 9 augusti inför antagningsseminarium 28 och/eller 29 september
  • 18 oktober inför antagningsseminarium 14 och/eller 15 december 

Antal sökande avgör huruvida båda bokade datum per omgång blir aktuella för seminarium.

När ansökningsdatum för kommande antagningsseminariet passerat öppnas direkt nästkommande ansökningsperiod.

Sökande och de tilltänkta handledarna bör avsätta hela dagen för det aktuella antagningsseminariet. Det är obligatoriskt för sökande och tilltänkt huvudhandledare att delta vid seminariet på plats, och det är fördelaktigt om även tilltänkta biträdande handledare kan delta.

Efter sista ansökningsdag och att ansökan är granskad och komplett kommer ni att informeras om exakt starttid för just ert antagningsseminarium. Ett seminarium beräknas ta en timme.

Anmälan och bilagor

Vid ansökningsförfarandet behöver du följande dokument:

  1. Meritförteckning (CV)
  2. Intyg avseende genomgången högskoleutbildning, eventuellt examensbevis
  3. Examensarbete (självständigt arbete)
  4. Finansieringsintyg enligt mall (obligatoriskt)
    - Rutin för medarbetare som arbetar inom Region Örebro län: Till ansökan bifogas utkast av finansieringsintyg (inkl signaturer från sökande, huvudhandledare och verksamhetschef) enligt mall Finansieringsintyg för doktorander med anställning inom Region Örebro län (inkl. forskar-AT) (separat inloggning till RÖL krävs). Efter antagningsseminariet sänder utbildnings- och forskningsadministratör det signerade utkastet till FoU-staben för godkännande. Färdigt finansieringsintyg skickas tillbaka till forskarutbildningsadministrationen.

Please note that this application is only for self-funding candidates.

You can apply to doctoral education with external/other types of funding, for example from your current employer. The University makes an assessment regarding the security of the funding for the entire duration of the studies, as well as the applicant's ability to be able to complete the studies with a study rate not lower than 50%.

Application dates and admission seminars

Admission of doctoral students with external/other types of financing usually takes place two times per semester.

Last day for application for admission seminars in 2027:

  • 7 December for the admission seminars 8 and/or 9 February
  • 8 March for the admission seminars 10 and/or 11 May
  • 9 August for the admission seminars 28 and/or 29 September
  • 18 October for the admission seminars 14 and/or the 15 December

The number of applicants decides whether both scheduled dates per admission session will be used for seminars. 

When the last day for application for the upcoming admission seminar has passed, the next period for application will immediately open. 

The applicant and intended supervisors should reserve the whole day for the intended admission seminar. It is mandatory for applicants and intended principal supervisor to attend the seminar in person, and it is favourably if intended assistant supervisors can also participate.

After the deadline for submission has passed and the application has been reviewed and is complete, you will be informed about exact starting time for your admission seminar. Estimated time per seminar is one hour.

The following documents are required for your application:

  1. Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  2. Proof of completed higher education; degree certificates if applicable
  3. Independent project (degree project)
  4. Certificate of funding according to template (mandatory)
    - Routine for employees who work within Region Örebro County: The application is accompanied by a draft certificate of funding (signed by the applicant, the principal supervisor and the Head of operations (SW: verksamhetschef)) according to template Certificate of funding for research students employed by Region Örebro län (including forskar-AT) (only available in Swedish, separate login to RÖL is necessary). After the admission seminar, the study and research administration sends the signed draft to the FoU staff at RÖL for approval and final signature. Finalised certificate of funding is returned to the study and research administration.
