Urologic Cancer
About
Environment information
Urological cancer was established as a multidisciplinary research environment at Örebro University during 2013. The research conducted within this research environment is focused on studying urological cancers such as prostate cancer, renal cancer, urinary bladder cancer and penile cancer, and the studies are performed through a nursing care, clinical and molecular point of view. The overarching aims with the studies are to improve diagnosis, prognosis, treatment and nursing care of patients suffering from urological cancers.
The urological cancer research environment has multiple co-operation partners, both nationally and internationally, and the collaborators are located in e.g. the Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Iceland and USA. The research group for prostate cancer is also members of the prostate cancer research network ToPCaP (www.topcapteam.org).
